Societies do not survive without members, and the ongoing generosity of our members helps to keep SPCNI financially healthy.
In the past decade, SPCNI faced rapidly rising costs with high turnover in members. Membership rates fell behind rising cost increases.
The board is determined to keep printing issues of Pacific Iris as long as it can afford to do so, while also keeping membership rates reasonable. We shifted many functions online to keep costs down. Many Society materials are now digitally available, such as the seed exchange and issues of Pacific Iris.
None of this would be possible without those extra donations each year. As a federally recognized nonprofit organization, donations made to SPCNI are tax deductible.
Your donations to the general fund go to operations, including printing and mailing costs for Pacific Iris.
