Published twice each year, Pacific Iris is the newly renamed Almanac for SPCNI. Spring issues (printed in March/April) feature nurseries that grow PCI, with a world wide list of nurseries and seed sources, and articles from all over about hybridizing and growing PCI. Also included are the annual financial reports. Spring issues will often feature Southern Hemisphere gardens and new hybrids from the past growing season. Fall issues (printed in October/ November) include information about the annual Seed Exchange, which is available online. In past decades, the fall issue included the list of available seeds. This list is still available to members who do not have computers, by contacting either the Secretary or Seed Exchange Chairman for a print copy, or by mailing a letter to the Seed Exchange Chair. Fall issues often feature Northern Hemisphere gardens and new hybrids from the past growing season.
When an expedition/trek or private field trip was held the prior summer, it is featured in the fall issue, as are reports from annual AIS meetings attended by SPCNI members. New Mitchell Medal winners are announced each fall.
